Nine LCF students from across three disciplines have been selected as finalists in the prestigious International Talent Support competition.
The ITS competition provides a platform for emerging young fashion talent from across the world. The judging panel, made up of leading industry professionals, took three days to view the worldwide submissions and decide on its selection of finalists.
Against the best of international young talent, the nine LCF students have earned their place to showcase their work at the ITS award ceremony in July.
Finalists in the Accessories category are Marilena Siamptani, Melissanthi Spei, and Annelie Gross, all studying MA Fashion Artefact, and Leonard Kahlcke, Liz Ciokajlo, Youngwon Kim, Doyun Kim, and Cat Potter, all studying MA Fashion Footwear. Lili Colley, BA (Hons) Fashion Jewellery has been selected in the Jewellery Category.
Speaking of the submissions to the Jewellery competition, Ute Schumacher of Swarovski said, “We are impressed by the high standard, intellectual approach, creativity, innovation and quality from these young talents.” Fashion designer Kei Kagami said of the Accessories entrants, “I think the level of the work was remarkably high.”
