The Transform Awards programme, established by Communicate magazine, is the industry benchmark for rebranding, repositioning and brand transformation and has has recognised the best in European rebranding since 2010. The awards were distributed at a gala dinner at The Brewery in London and were hosted by BBC Science correspondent Steve Mould.
UAL Director of Communications Dee Searle said of UAL’s win: “This is fantastic news and is a real testament to the effectiveness of our work with Pentagram and the ongoing brand roll-out across the University. We’re very proud that our brand has been recognised in this way, and we feel that our rebrand has helped to strength en our reputation as Europe’s largest specialist arts and design higher education institution, bringing together all six of our internationally-renowned Colleges under one unified identity.”
Andrew Thomas, publishing editor of Communicate magazine, said: “The rebranding stories that captured our imaginations and our hearts have been tales of hard work, of fabulous creative thought and of stunning intellectual and strategic insight. Those stories are also the ones being honoured at the Transform Awards. We are very proud to be a footnote in their organisations’ stories by providing a platform from which to recognise the excellence of their changing brand narratives.”
